Chandigarh, April 21
UT recorded two more deaths and as many as 622 fresh cases of coronavirus during past 24 hours on Wednesday. The city now has 4124 active cases of the infection.
With this, the death toll has risen to 423 and the caseload has increased to 35,770.
According to a media bulletin issued here, a 56-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Maloya, a case of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus and Bilateral Pneumonia expired at GMSH-16. In the second case, a 56-year-old COVID positive Female R/o Sector 44, a case of Hypertension and Severe Acute Respiratory Infections expired at GMCH-32.
The new cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 454 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
