Holds meeting to review preparedness for launching these clinics in five major Corporation cities
Chandigarh, March 2-
Reiterating the firm commitment of the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to impart quality health services to people, the Punjab Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua today said that 142 Aam Aadmi Clinics will be dedicated to people on March 31.
The Chief Secretary, while chairing over a meeting to review the opening of these clinics, said that these clinics have proved to be a cornerstone in imparting quality health services to people. He said that till now around 500 Aam Aadmi Clinics are operational in the state. Mr Janjua said that lakhs of people are taking benefit from these clinics every day.
The Chief Secretary said that now 142 more such clinics will be operationalised on March 31. He said that these clinics will be opened in five major Corporation cutis of the state including Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Phagwara. Mr Janjua asked the officers to ensure that no stone is left unturned for opening of these clinics.
The Chief Secretary said that these clinics are dream project of the Chief Minister, who is according top priority to them. He also said that the recruitment for staff in these clinics is also going on in full swing. Mr Janjua said that he will personally monitor the progress of these clinics on day to day basis.
On the occasion Principal Secretary Local Government Vivek Pratap Singh, Principal Secretary Health VK Meena,, Principal Secretary PWD Nilkanth S Avhad, Secretary Medical Education Alaknanda Dayal, MD National Health Mission Dr Abhinav Trikha, MD PHSC Pradeep Kumar Agrawal and others also attended the meeting. The Deputy Commissioners of concerned Deputy Commissioners also joined the meeting virtually.
