Chandigarh, May 12
UT recorded the highest ever single day fatalities due to coronavirus on
Wednesday with the city logging 14 deaths. There were 776 fresh cases of the infection during the past 24 hours.
With this, the death toll has risen to 599 and the caseload to 52633. The number of active cases of the infection has risen to 8528.
According to a media bulletin, the patients who succumbed to the virus were aged between 41 and 78 years.
