Chandigarh, May 5
UT recorded a record 14 deaths due to coronavirus on Wednesday along with 817 fresh cases of the infection during the past 24 hours. There are 8363 active cases of the pandemic.
According to a media bulletin issued by the Administration, the victims were in the age group of 19 and 80 years.
The new cases of the infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
With this, the death toll in Chandigarh has risen to 532 while the caseload has increased to 46793.
Meanwhile, a total of 610 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
