Chandigarh, September 30, 2020 : 12 Punjab PCS officers are all set to be promoted as IAS officers and the UPSC has approved their promotion.
According to informed sources selection committee of the UPSC met recently and approved promotion of 12 PCS officers as IAS officers. Though it is already clear that who will get promoted but real list will become public only after minutes of meeting of selection committee are made public. 32 PCS officers are in race to get nomination as IAS as only 12 posts are available only. Two posts are from year 2018 and 10 are from 2019. It is also learnt that four officers have already given up their claim. It is also learnt that Chief Secretary Vinni Mahajan, Secretary Personnnel Vivek Pratap Singh and Special Chief Secretary KBS Sidhu were also present in the meeting.
