As many as 464 persons were tested positive for Corona Virus and 12 succumbed to infection in last 24 hours in district. The active cases in the district have reached 2016.
Today, the health department has collected the samples of 5311 suspected persons.
Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga informed that a total of 212693 samples have been taken till date, out of which report of 211006 samples has been received and report of 1687 samples is pending. He said that 15372 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 12719 were recovered.
He said that unfortunately 12 people have died due to infection and till now 634 have lost their life. He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing.
Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
