Chandigarh, May 1
UT recorded eleven more deaths and 799 fresh cases of coronavirus on Saturday as the city remained under weekend lockdown along with the neighboring Mohali and Panchkula.
With this, the death toll in Chandigarh has risen to 489 and the caseload to 43,446. There are as many as 7,222 active cases of the infection.
According to a media bulletin, 11 patients aged between 42 and 85 admitted in various hospitals for treatment of the pandemic died during the past 24 hours.
New cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 472 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
