In last 24 hours, ten more patients succumbed to Corona Virus and 161 tested positive on Ludhiana district. The active cases in the district have reached 849.
Today, the health department has collected the samples of 4542 suspected persons.
Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga informed that a total of 294230 samples have been taken till date, out of which report of 292276 samples has been received and report of 1954 samples is pending. He said that 18449 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 16872 were recovered.
He said that unfortunately ten people have died due to infection and till now 770 have lost their life. He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing.
Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
