Chandigarh, January 18:
Ravee Singh Ahluwalia, Chief functionary of Patiala Foundation, has been presented with the Award for outstanding work in Road Safety/Good Samaritan by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Secretary- Road Transport and Highways Dr. V K Singh honoured Ahluwalia on January 18, 2021 at the inauguration of National Road Safety month at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
With great enthusiasm and strong vision in mind, Mr. Ahluwalia has been passionately working in the field of social work since the last 12 years. He has also been awarded the prestigious Punjab State Award and District Awards twice in the field of Social Service by Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh.
With the continuous efforts for illuminating the concept of Road Safety, Ravee Singh Ahluwalia has designed an innovative “Children Challan Book” for the school children which has been appreciated and documented in as one of the good practices at the national level in 2020 by the Vice President of India. Afterwards, launch of State’s first Helmet Bank is again an exemplary contribution by Mr. Ahluwalia towards the safety of two-wheeler users.
Patiala Foundation, under his visionary guidance, also holding reflective sticker camps regularly and working on awareness generation activities amongst all stakeholders of the society. The Patiala Foundation has also been accorded the Special Consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNECOSOC) since 2018.
