Chandigarh, September 27-UT reported two more deaths and 173 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll has risen to 147 while the number of cases has climbed to 11,553. The figure includes 2303 active cases.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the Administration, a 70-year-old female r/o Ramdarbar, a case of ARDS and Acute Kidney Injury, tested COVID positive, expired at PGIMER on Saturday. The second case related to an 81-year old male r/o Sector 52, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension tested COIVD positive, who expired at GMCH 32 on Sunday.
The fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 166 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
