Chandigarh, November 17
UT reported two more deaths and as many as 136 new cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. There are 1,026 active cases of infection in the city.
With this, the death toll has risen to 252 while the caseload has climbed to 16,022.
According to a medical bulletin issued here, a 61-year-old male R/o Dadu Majra, a case of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, who tested COIVD positive, expired at PGIMER. The other case related to a 77-year-old male R/o Sector 44, a case of Diabetes, Hypertension and Chronic Heart Disease, who tested COVID positive, expired at Ace Heart Hospital, Mohali.
The fresh cases have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 160 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
