Chandigarh, October 7
Two more people fell prey to coronavirus in UT taking the death toll to 182. As many 127 fresh cases of the contagion were reported during the past 24 hours. The caseload in the UT has now risen to 12,820. The figure includes 1448 active cases.
According to a medical bulletin released by the Administration, a 60-year-old female R/o Sector 33, a case of SARI and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, who tested COVID positive, expired at IVY Hospital, Mohali on Wednesday. A 70-year-old male R/o Manimajra, a case of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive expired at GMCH-32 on Wednesday.
Fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 155 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
