UT recorded two more deaths and 96 fresh cases of coronavirus on Saturday. The death toll now stands at 190 while the caseload has climbed 13,081. The figures include 1229 active cases.
According to a medial bulletin issued by the Administration, a 51-year male R/o Khuda Alisher, a case of Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula on Friday. A 65-year old male R/o Sector 47, a case of Chronic Kidney Disease and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, has expired at Sohana Hospital, Mohali on Saturday.
The new cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 157 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
