Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond, MLA Budh Ram accompany Sangat in Heritage Tour
Tour draws massive attraction of Sangat to know about Major aspects of Punjab and Sikh History
Sri Anandpur Sahib/Chandigarh, November 23: The Punjab Government has organized a Heritage Tour for devotees to get them apprised about Virasat-E-Khalsa, Historic Gurdwaras and Panj Pyara Park which attracted massive enthusiasm of Sangat.
The tour began from Virasat-E-Khalsa elaborated in detail about the religious and historic significance of Punjab and Sikh history. The Tourism department deputed experts to facilitate the Sangat with information about Sikh history in trio languages including Punjabi, Hindi and English.
Punjab Tourism Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond and MLA Budh Ram accompanied the Sangat during the entire tour which passed through 27 galleries briefing about the Sikh history from the birth, life and teachings of ten Sikh Gurus right from the first Sikh Master Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Sikh Misls, the regime of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Independence struggle, 1947th partition and Punjabi Suba Morcha. The tour also followed the visit of Panj Pyara Park, historic Gurdwaras of Sri Anandpur Sahib where the experts gave detailed information to the devotees about these places.
Tourism Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond and MLA Budh Ram lauded the tour for Sangat especially the youngsters to get acquaint with the rich and glorious history of Punjab and Sikh religion. The devotees joining the tour also thanked for this informative initiative.
