Condemning the similar upward trend in price of petrol and diesel, Jakhar underlined that this was happening when the prices of crude oil are at half than what it was during PM Manmohan Singh Ji’s tenure. Modi regime is looting people by burdening them with this extra prices, Jakhar further said adding centre was filling coffers of its favorite corporates at the cost of the public.
The present central regime is working at the behest of corporates while letting people of the country suffer, Jakhar said warning Modi government that no dispensation can exist by torturing the public. That’s why Congress has planned this protest to intimate the Governor about the condition of the public so he could forward his report to centre.
Responding to a media query, Jakhar said Akali Dal is acting as a shadow of BJP by trying to shield centre over grave issue of rising prices and draconian agricultural legislations.
