Chandigarh, October 6
UT reported three more deaths and 129 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll has risen to 180 while the caseload has climbed to 12, 707. The figure includes 1492 active cases of the pandemic.
A medical bulletin released here by the Administration said, a 61-year-old male r/o Sector 44, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH-32 on Tuesday. A 76-year-old male r/o Sector 21, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMSH 16 on Sunday. A 31-year-old male r/o Ramdarbar, a case of Type 2 Respiratory Failure, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32 on Tuesday.
The new cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 238 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
