Sundar Sham Arora launches employment fair till September 30

Hoshiarpur-September 25-Inaugurating the door-to-door employment fairs being organized by the Punjab government here today, Industry and Commerce Minister Mr. Sundar Sham Arora said that the Punjab government was committed to provide employment to the unemployed under which these fairs were being organized continuously across the state. Will continueCommenting on the employment fair to be held till September 30 at the local Multi Skill Development Center, Sundar Sham Arora said that so far 19 companies have set up their stalls which are selecting suitable candidates as per the requirement in their respective institutions. He said that today around 600 youths participated in the job fair out of which 405 were selected on the spot through interviews. He said that while handing over the appointment letters to the youth today, the selected candidates lauded the initiative of the Punjab government and said that they were being provided jobs as per their need in one place.The Cabinet Minister said that one of the features of these job fairs was that the unemployed did not have to travel to different companies but were getting jobs through interviews in one place. He said that despite the spread of Corona epidemic in all parts of the country, the Punjab government’s job fairs have been a resounding success in which jobs have been provided to companies in various sectors besides the banking sector. He said that the success of these job fairs made it clear that the promise made by the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh regarding employment was being fulfilled.On the occasion Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said that the youth should take full advantage of these job fairs which would run till September 30 where the representatives of the companies would select the vacancies on the spot. He said that under the series of employment fairs organized by the District Employment and Business Bureau, job fairs were already being organized at the block level to provide jobs to the youth which was a commendable work.Placement Officer Mangesh Sood, Career Counselor Aditya Rana and other bureau officials were also present on the occasion. HDFC at the fair Bank, Sonalika, JCT, Vardhman, Future General Life Insurance, Shivam Hospital, IVY. Hospitals, Pyramid e-Services, Verma Hyundai, LIC, Diamond Herbal, Topaz Health Care, Giannam Institute, Krampton Badi, Cosmos Man Power, Rockman Industry, CSC Etc. Placement was done by companies.
