Chandigarh, March 25
The Punjab Government has suspended 5 police officers including the then DIG Ludhiana Parmraj Singh Umranangal in the famous NDPS act registered by STF.
In orders issued in this regard by Home Department, it was said that matter pertains to FIR No. 147, dated 6.11.2020 u/s21, 23, 25, 27 A, 29-61-85 NDPS Act, 25,24, 29 Arms act and 420, 471, 472 IPC at Police Station STF Phase 4 SAS Nagar which pertains to seizure of illegal factory at Khanna.
Those who have been suspended included Parmraj Singh Umranangal IPS who had already been suspended in another case, Varinderjit Singh Thind Asst. Commandant 4th IRB Pathankot, Sewa Singh Malli SP Detective Faridkot, Parminder Singh Bath DSP and Karansher Singh DSP Detective Faridkot.
