Chandigarh 14 December 2025:
As per programme notified by the Commission, general elections to elect the members from 347 zones of 22 Zila Parishads and from 2838 zones of 153 Panchayat Samitis has been satisfactorily and peacefully conducted in the State. No loss of life or major clash had been reported from anywhere.
The Commission has ordered re-poll at the following places:-
1. Block Samiti Attari, zone no 08 (Khasa) (Booths No. 52,53,54,55) and zone no. 17 (Varpal Kalan) (Booth no. 90,91,93,94,95) – District Amritsar.
2. Block Samiti Chananwal (Zone No. 04), Village Raisar Patiala (Booth No. 20) – District Barnala
3. Village Babania (Booths No. 63 and 64), and Village Madhir (Booths No. 21 and 22) in Block Kot Bhai, Gidderbaha District Sri Muktsar Sahib,
4. Village Chanhiya (Polling Station 124) – District Gurdaspur
5. Pollling Booth 72, Panchayat Samiti Bhogpur (Zone No. 4) -District Jalandhar
Re-poll will be held on 16.12.2025 between 08:00 am to 04:00 p.m. Counting of these will be taken up along with general Counting on 17.12.2025.
