Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan today paid heartfelt tributes to Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru, on His Martyrdom Day.
The Speaker Sandhwan recalled the supreme sacrifice made by the great Guru for the sake of humanity, truth, and religious freedom. He emphasized that Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s life remains a timeless beacon of peace, humanity, and selfless service.
“Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji was an embodiment of divine wisdom and tolerance,” said Speaker Sandhwan. “His historic sacrifice against tyranny and injustice stands unparalleled in world history. He taught humanity to accept the divine love with grace and courage.”
The Speaker also highlighted the monumental contribution of the fifth Guru ji in compiling the Adi Granth (Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji) and constructing the Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar, which serves as a global symbol of universal brotherhood.
S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan advised the people of Punjab to emulate the noble teachings of the Guru Sahib. He urged citizens to actively promote communal harmony, peace, and mutual love, which serve as the truest tribute to the Guru Sahib eternal legacy.
