Under the supervision of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Deepak Sibal, Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali and the able guidance of Ms. Rupinderjit Chahal, Learned District & Sessions Judge- cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, legal awareness programmes are being organized in various villages through SML Van in District Patiala by District Legal Services Authority, Patiala.
In this occasion, Ms. Damandeep Kamal Heera, Incharge, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala has flagged out SML Van. Awareness programmes were organized in Villages Bhedpura, Seserwal, Lalochi, Lalochi Khurd and Gajumajra and during this outreach programme, the local villagers were made aware and sensitised about (various legal services and schemes by Sh. Paramjit Singh, Sh. Gurkirat Singh, Sh. Hem Rishi, Sh. Kulwant Dhiman (PLV) about NALSA (Child Friendly Legal Services to Children and their protection) Scheme, 2015, Free Legal Aid, Permanent Lok Adalat (PUS), Mediation and Conciliation Centre, National ASHA (Awareness ,Sport, Help and Action) Scheme 2025, NALSA DAWN (Drug Awareness Wellness and Navigation) Scheme, 2025, Toll free no. 15100, benefits of Lok Adalts and upcoming National Lok Adalat to be held on 13.09.2025.
Sh. Sukhwinder Singh (Panchayat Secretary), Ms. Kirandeep Kaur, Sh. Parabhjot Singh and Sh. Ravinder Kumar Secretary Narega were also present there. Approximately 250 people participated in the seminar and benefitted from the information shared.
