Chandigarh, June 7:

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan today nominated various Committees of the House for the year 2023-24. A notification in this regard has been issued.

Divulging further details, an official spokesperson informed that following Legislatures have been appointed chairmen and members of the total 15 committees:

S. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts, while S. Kulwant Singh Sidhu, S. Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, Sh. Amandeep Singh Mussafir, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, S. Narinder Pal Singh Sawna, S. Gurdev Singh Dev Maan, S. Manwinder Singh Giaspura, S. Hakam SIngh Thekedar, S. Hardeep Singh Mundian, S. Kulwant Singh, S. Jasvir Singh Raja Gill and S. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria would work as the members of the committee.

Sh. Budh Ram has been nominated as Chairman of the Committee on Public Undertakings, while Dr. Jeevan Jyot Kaur, S. Dalbir Singh Tong, S. Jagsir Singh, S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon, Sh. Madan Lal Bagga, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora, S. Harmit Singh Pathanmajra, Sh. Gurlal Ghanaur, Dr. Vijay Singla, Dr. Ravjot Singh, Smt. Aruna Chaudhary and Sh. Naresh Puri have been inducted as the members.

S. Manjit Singh Bilaspur would be the Chairman of the Committee on Estimates, whereas the members would include as S. Gurinder Singh Garry Birring, S. Labh Singh Ugoke, S. Narinderpal Singh Sawna, S. Jiwan Singh Sangowal, S. Amolak Singh, Sh. Ashok Prashar, S. Ajit Pal Singh Kohli, Sh. Balkar Singh Sidhu, Smt. Inderjit Kaur Maan, Dr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi, Sh. Sandeep Jakhar and Sh. Sukhwinder Singh Kotli.

Committee on Welfare of SC, ST & BCs would comprise of Smt. Sarvjit Kaur Manuke as the Chairperson, and S. Jasbir Singh Sandhu, S. Dalbir Singh Tong, Sh. Amit Rattan Kotfatta, S. Labh Singh Ugoke, S. Jagsir Singh, S. Hakam Singh Thekedar, S. Gurdev Singh Dev Maan, Dr. Ravjot Singh, S. Amarpal Singh, Dr. Raj Kumar, Sh. Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary and Dr. Nachattar Pal would be the members of the committee.

House Committee would include Deputy Speaker S. Jai Krishan Singh as ex-officio Chairman, while S. Kulwant Singh Sidhu, S. Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, S. Karambir Singh, S. Hakam Singh Thekedar , Smt. Neena Mittal, Dr. Ravjot Singh, S. Kulwant Singh Bazigar and Sh. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring have been nominated as the members.

S. Gurpreet Singh Bassi Gogi has been appointed Chairman of the Committee on Local Bodies, whereas S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa, S. Gurinder Singh Garry Birring, S. Tarunpreet Singh Sond, Sh. Madan Lal Bagga, Sh. Amansher Singh (Sherry Kalsi), Smt. Neena Mittal, Sh. Dinesh Kumar Chadha, Smt. Rajinder Pal Kaur, Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal, Sh. Avtar Singh Junior, S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and S. Barindermeet Singh Pahra have been appointed members of the committee.

Committee on Panchayati Raj Institutions would include Dr. Charanjit Singh as Chairman, while Sh. Ajay Gupta, Sh. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, ADC Sh. Jaswinder Singh Ramdas, Smt. Santosh Kumari Kataria, S. Karambir Singh, Prof. Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra, S. Daljit Singh Grewal (Bhola), S. Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar, S. Ajit Pal Singh Kohli, S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, S. Barindermeet Singh Pahra and Sh. Sukhwinder Singh Kotli as members.

S. Sarvan Singh Dhun has been nominated as Chairman of Committee on Agriculture and Allied Activities. Prof. Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra, S. Manjinder Singh Lalpura, S. Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar, S. Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, S. Fauja Singh, S. Jagtar Singh Diyalpura, S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon, S. Ranbir Singh, S. Jasvir Singh Raja Gill, Dr. Raj Kumar, Sh. Sandeep Jakhar and S. Manpreet Singh Ayali have been nominated as members of this committee.

Committee on Cooperation and Allied Activities would include S. Gurpreet Singh Banawali as Chairman, while Sh. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, S. Rupinder Singh, Sh. Amansher Singh (Sherry Kalsi), S. Lakhbir Singh Rai, S. Jivan Singh Sangowal, Sh. Sheetal Angural, S. Daljit Singh Grewal (Bhola), Smt. Inderjit Kaur Maan, Sh. Dinesh Kumar Chadha, Rana Gurjit Singh, S. Hardev Singh Laadi and Sh. Jangi Lal Mahajan would be the members of the committee.

S. Kulwant Singh Pandori has been nominated as Chairman of Committee of Privileges, whereas the members would include; S. Rupinder Singh, Smt. Santosh Kumari Kataria, S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa, S. Manjinder Singh Lalpura, S. Tarunpreet Singh Sond, Smt. Rajinder Pal Kaur, Smt. Narinder Kaur Bharaj, Sh. Naresh Kataria, Smt. Aruna Chaudhary, S. Hardev Singh Laadi and Dr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi.

Committee on Govt. Assurances would include S. Jagroop Singh Gill as Chairman, while Sh. Raman Arora, Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal, S. Lakhbir Singh Rai, S. Ranbir Singh, S. Fauja Singh, Sh. Sheetal Angural, Sh. Barinder Kumar Goyal Vakeel, Sh. Ashok Prashar, Smt. Narinder Kaur Bharaj, S. Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, S. Pargat Singh Powar and Rana Inder Pratap Singh would work as members.

Committee on Subordinate Legislation would comprise Sh. Rajnish Kumar Dahiya as the Chairman, while Dr. Jeevan Jyot Kaur, Sh. Amit Rattan Kotfatta, Sh. Sheetal Angural, S. Sukhbir Singh Maiserkhana, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora, Sh. Balkar Singh Sidhu, S. Jagtar Singh Diyalpura, S. Amarpal Singh, S. Pargat Singh Powar, S. Sukhpal Singh Khaira, Sh. Bikaramjit Singh Chaudhary and Advocate General would be the members of the committee.

S. Davinderjit Singh Laadi Dhos will lead Committee on Petitions as Chairman, while the members would include; ADC Sh. Jaswinder Singh Ramdas, Dr. Jasbir Singh Sandhu, Smt. Santosh Kumari Kataria, S. Jagsir Singh, S. Sukhbir Singh Maiserkhana, Smt. Neena Mittal, Sh. Barinder Kumar Goyal Vakeel, Sh. Naresh Kataria, Sh. Naresh Puri, S. Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Sh. Ashwani Kumar Sharma and Dr. Nachattar Pal.

Committee on Papers Laid/to be Laid on the table of the house and Library would comprise of Dr. Mohammad-Jamil-Ur-Rehman as the Chairman, and Sh. Amandeep Singh Mussafir, S. Amolak Singh, Sh. Barinder Kumar Goyal Vakeel, S. Manwinder Singh Giaspura, S. Hardeep Singh Mundiyan, Dr. Vijay Singla, S. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, Sh. Avtar Singh Junior and Smt. Ganieve Kaur Majithia as members.

Sh. Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy has been appointed Chairman of the Committee on Questions and References, while Sh. Ajay Gupta, Sh. Gurlal Ghanaur, Sh. Raman Arora, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, S. Kulwant Singh, S. Kulwant Singh Baazigar, Sh. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and S. Sukhpal Singh Khaira have been appointed members of the committee.
