–Sikhya Kranti Brings Modern Infrastructure to Government Schools

Punjab’s ambitious “Sikhya Kranti” (Education Revolution), led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, continues to reshape government schools with modern infrastructure and renewed academic focus. On May 2, MLAs across Patiala — Gurdev Singh Dev Mann (Nabha), Chetan Singh Jauramajra (Samana), and Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra (Sanour) — inaugurated major development works in their constituencies.
In Samana, MLA Chetan Singh Jauramajra inaugurated infrastructure upgrades including a new classroom in Ghazislar (₹10.4 lakh), boundary walls in Jamalpur (₹7.9 lakh) and Kakra (₹9.3 lakh), and enhancements in Chutahehra. He honoured meritorious students and emphasized that digital boards, smart classrooms, libraries, and sports facilities are now standard in many schools.
In Sanour, MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra inaugurated works worth ₹14.5 lakh at schools in Piplkheri and Masingan. He highlighted the state’s dual focus on education and youth wellness through sports infrastructure, touchscreens, new furniture, and modern amenities.
In Nabha, MLA Dev Mann unveiled projects worth ₹11.6 lakh at Government Primary School Dhanouri and ₹6.5 lakh at Government Primary School Skohaan. He noted a remarkable rise in government school students securing top ranks in national-level exams like JEE. He shared that 117 of the 209 schools in Nabha have already been upgraded, and credited initiatives such as the recruitment of 20,000 teachers and the Campus Manager program for enabling better classroom focus.
These developments reflect the Punjab government’s firm resolve to make government schools centers of excellence and leadership for the next generation.
