Speaker Urges Children to love, respect, and care for their parents, Nothing is above your parents

The Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker, S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan, today extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to all fathers and father figures on the occasion of Father’s Day.
Speaker Sandhwan emphasized that a father serves as a pillar of strength, security, and silent sacrifice for every family. He noted that while a mother’s affection is the bedrock of a child’s early years, a father provides the direction, moral compass, and resilience required to navigate life’s challenges.
“Fathers play an irreplaceable role in nurturing values of hard work, discipline, and compassion in our youth,” said S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan. “In our rich Punjabi culture and heritage, the elderly and father figures hold a position of immense respect. They act as the anchors of our joint family system, passing down traditions, integrity, and social responsibility to the next generation.”
The Speaker urged children to love, respect, and care for their parents, emphasizing that the true celebration of Father’s Day lies in looking after the well-being of elders in their twilight years. He appealed the youth of Punjab to honour their fathers’ sacrifices by steering clear of social evils, dedicating themselves to honest work, and contributing positively to the progress of the state.
