Directs District Administration to Bear Full Treatment Costs for Injured Children
Seeks Detailed Incident Report by August 6

The Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission has taken has taken cognizance of media reports regarding the injuries of five children due to a cylinder burst at Gurudwara Jamani Sahib in district Ferozepur. The Commission has issued a letter to the district administration, sought a comprehensive report on the incident by August 6, 2024.
Giving more information in this regard, the Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission, Chairman Kanwardeep Singh, said that according to media reports five children were injured in the cylinder explosion in Ferozepur.The Chairman Informed that the district administration has been directed to ensure all necessary medical services are provided to the injured children. If it becomes necessary to shift the injured children to another hospital for advanced treatment, the administration must take immediate action. He said that the district administration has been instructed to bear the entire cost of the treatment for the injured children.
Chairman Kanwardeep Singh further said that a complete report on the cylinder burst incident has been sought from the district administration by August 6, 2024. He assured that upon receiving the report, appropriate action will be taken according to rules and regulations.
