Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh today stated that the education reforms undertaken over the past three years under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann are beginning to yield tangible results. Highlighting the state’s commitment to educational transformation, Dr. Balbir Singh noted that improvements in school infrastructure, recruitment of teachers, and overseas training programs are now reflecting in the exceptional performance of students in board examinations.
“The recent outstanding results of Class 10 and 12 students are a testament to Punjab’s journey towards a vibrant ‘Rangla Punjab,’ with the youth playing a central role in this progress,” said Dr. Balbir Singh. He emphasized that a significant investment of ₹2,000 crore has been made to modernize infrastructure in government schools, providing students—especially in rural areas—with access to modern and high-quality facilities. As a result, rural government schools have recorded a commendable pass percentage of 96.09%.
During the inauguration of development works at government schools in Tafazzalpura, Roargarh, Rohti Ghas, and Ramgarh Chhanna, Dr. Balbir Singh reviewed projects created by students under the innovative Business Blaster scheme.
