Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared results of class 8th and class 10th on Monday. The results were announced on video conferencing.
As per the results of class 10th, 99.93 percent students have qualified the exams. Out of total 3,21,384 students, 3,21,163 have qualified for the exams. The results of rural schools were better than the schools in urban areas.
Talking about Class 8th results, the board informed that 3,06,894 students have been qualified out of 3,07,272 total students. The performance of rural and urban schools is almost the same.
PSEB Chairman Dr Yog Raj Sharma announced that girls performed slightly better than boys in both the classes. The result of class 10th girl students was over 99 percent.
He said the results have been announced based on the same pattern of last year – internal assessment, amid on-going pandemic.
Due to the pandemic, the exams of the classes 8th and 10th were cancelled. The board will upload the results on the website: www.pseb.ac.in on Tuesday morning (May 18), where students can check.
The chairman also announced that the exams of improvement and re-appear will be conducted physically if the situation of COVID becomes normal. The students will be given two months for sitting in improvement and re-appear exams.
