Camps will provide free health facilities to senior citizens

The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has taken a new initiative to launch the “Saade Bjurag Sadda Maan” campaign dedicated to the International Day of Senior Citizens. This campaign will be launched in Faridkot district on October 3rd. Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur, will attend the function as the chief guest.
Divulging in this regard, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that for the welfare of the elderly, the “Saade Bjurag Sadda Maan” campaign is being initiated in the state. Under this initiative, health camps will be set up at every district level, where the elderly will receive complete geriatric care (age-related diseases) check-ups, ENT (Ear Nose Throat) check-ups, eye check-ups, and the distribution of spectacles. Eye surgery facilities will be provided free of charge. Apart from this Free medicines were also provided to the elderly on this occasion Additionally, senior citizen cards will be issued to the elderly and old age pension forms will also be filled out.
Dr. Baljit Kaur urged needy seniors to attend the function to take advantage of this opportunity.
Social Security, Women and Child Development Department, Additional Director Charanjit Singh stated that camps will be organized in all the districts, starting with Faridkot on October 3rd, Moga on October 5th, Ludhiana on October 9th, Muktsar Sahib on October 11th, Ferozepur on October 13th, Fazilka on October 16th, Bathinda on October 18th, Mansa on October 20th, Sangrur on October 23rd, Malerkotla on October 25th, Barnala on October 27th, Pathankot on October 30th, Gurdaspur on November 1st, Amritsar on November 3rd, Tarn Taran on November 6th, Jalandhar on November 8th, SBS Nagar on November 10th, Hoshiarpur on November 13th, Kapurthala on November 15th, SAS Nagar on November 17th, Patiala on November 20th, Rupnagar on November 22nd and Fatehgarh Sahib on November 24th.
