Cabinet Minister Sond Hands Over Property Cards Establishing Ownership Rights to 227 Families in Village Manak Majra

Chandigarh/Khanna, October 19:

Punjab Cabinet Minister and MLA from the Khanna Assembly constituency, Mr. Tarunpreet Singh Sond, today handed over property cards establishing ownership rights to 227 households falling within the Lal Lakir area in village Manak Majra. He said that by launching the ‘Mera Ghar-Mere Naam’ scheme, the Punjab Government had accomplished a historic task by fulfilling a long-cherished dream of thousands of families.

Describing the ‘Mera Ghar-Mere Naam’ initiative as highly beneficial for residents living within the Lal Lakir area, Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond said that the scheme, launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, had brought significant benefits to the people. He said this was a reflection of the people-oriented approach of the Punjab government.

He added that the AAP government had taken numerous public welfare decisions by fulfilling every promise made to the people of Punjab. These decisions, he said, had received widespread appreciation.

He stated that the Punjab Government had granted legal recognition to the ownership rights of residents living within the Lal Lakir area. This would enable them to use their property to pursue various opportunities for progress and development in life. He said the ‘Mera Ghar-Mere Naam’ scheme not only grants property ownership rights but also strengthens people’s self-confidence and morale.

The Cabinet Minister said that after receiving property cards, residents of the Lal Lakir area would be entitled to buy and sell their properties, and the way had now been fully cleared for the registration of these properties.

He added that people living within the Lal Lakir area had long faced various difficulties concerning ownership of their houses and other properties. These longstanding problems had now been permanently resolved through the ‘Mera Ghar-Mere Naam’ scheme.

Tarunpreet Singh Sond said that the scheme had been implemented by the Revenue Department in a fully transparent and efficient manner, enabling residents of the Lal Lakir area to receive legal ownership rights to their properties.

The beneficiaries who received property cards thanked the Punjab Government and Cabinet Minister Sond, saying that the ‘Mera Ghar-Mere Naam’ scheme had finally fulfilled their long-standing demand.
