In light of the current situation, the Punjab government has decided to extend the holidays in all Anganwadi centers across the state until July 16 due to floods. This announcement was made by Dr. Baljit Kaur, the Minister of Social Security, Women, and Child Development.
The Cabinet Minister stated that the Anganwadi Centres were initially scheduled to reopen on July 14, 2023. However, in consideration of the ongoing circumstances, they will remain closed until July 16. She emphasized that this extension of holidays aims to prioritize the safety of children.
