Chandigarh, September 21
The Punjab Government has extended the deadline for applying for various scholarship schemes for the current academic session. The scholarships (2020-21) can be applied on the e-Punjab portal.
According to a spokesperson of the school education department, these scholarship schemes include Pre-matric scholarship scheme for SC students (class IX to X), Pre-matric scholarship scheme for OBC students (class I to X) and up gradation of merit to SC students studying in the class 9th to 12th .
According to the spokesperson, the portal has already been opened from September 16 to apply for these scholarship schemes. The last date for submission of online application is October 15, 2020 while, the last date for approval of schools and to send online data for districts is October 20, 2020. The date for approval of districts and forwarding online data to the state has been fixed on 15 to 27 October, 2020. According to the spokesperson, the application date on the portal will not be extended after this.
