Jalandhar, October 28, 2021-The Deputy Chief Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today morning conducted a surprise check in order to know the ground situation with regard to the nakas (Barriers) on the G.T. Road and traffic on the crowded spots on the road.
S. Randhawa, who also holds Home Portfolio, expressed strong displeasure at the lax arrangements. Similarly, taking notice of the negligence in duty by the police personnel deputed at the naka at G.T. Road in Phillaur (Jalandhar District) right after crossing the Sutlej bridge, the Home Minister warned them to discharge their duties with diligence.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that keeping in view the festive season, whereas the police should be vigilant in discharge of its duties the traffic police should also ensure efficient management of the traffic so as to cause no difficulty to the commuters.
