Dr. Baljit Kaur and Mohinder Bhagat Meet Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma in Jaipur, Share Details of State-Level Events

The Punjab Government is organizing grand state-level commemorative events marking the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri GuruTegh Bahadur Ji. As part of this initiative, Punjab Cabinet Ministers Dr. Baljit Kaur and Mohinder Bhagat held a special meeting with the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma in Jaipur, and formally invited him to join in the Commemorative events in Punjab.
The ministers conveyed the warm greetings on the behalf of the Chief Minister of Punjab, S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, to the Rajasthan Chief Minister. They also apprised him of the month-long programmes being held across the state to pay respects the unparalleled sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji for the cause of religious freedom and righteousness.
During the meeting, they informed that the commemorative events commenced on October 25 with an Ardas (prayer) at Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib in Delhi. Following the inauguration, a series of religious and cultural events are being organized throughout Punjab. Light and Sound Shows depicting the life and teachings of Guru Sahib are being held in all 23 districts, while Kirtan Darbars and religious congregations are taking place at 130 sacred locations blessed by the presence of Guru Sahib.
The ministers further shared that four Nagar Kirtans—beginning from Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir), Gurdaspur, Faridkot, and Takht Sri Damdama Sahib (Punjab)—will culminate at Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22. The main events scheduled from November 23 to 25 include Sri Akhand Path Sahib, a Sarbat Dharam Sammelan, a Special Session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, and a grand Kirtan Darbar. To ensure the smooth stay of pilgrims and visitors, a vast tent city named “Chakk Nanaki” is being set up at Sri Anandpur Sahib.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma appreciated the noble initiatives of the Punjab Government to pay respects to the glorious legacy of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. They said that such events spread the eternal message of unity, compassion, and universal brotherhood across the world, assuring full cooperation and support for the success of the commemorations.
The ministers said that through these programmes, efforts are being made to widely propagate Guru Sahib’s teachings of peace, equality, and truth. They added that these ongoing events will inspire devotees—especially the younger generation—to remain connected with the values of humanity and harmony as shown by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
