Chandigarh, March 28, 2021: The Annual General Body Meeting of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) was held in the PCA Main Ground I.S. Bindra Stadium, Sector-63, SAS Nagar, Mohali, after following all Covid-19 Guidelines.
Padam Shri Rajinder Gupta, President of the Association was the Chairman of the Meeting.
The General House unanimously approved to name PCA New Cricket Stadium Mullanpur as ‘’Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium’’.
Rajinder Gupta, President shared with the Members that it is a great Honour and we are thankful to the Royal Patiala Family to allow PCA to name the new Stadium as ‘’Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium’’. He further shared the unparalleled contribution of ‘’Maharaja Yadavindra Singh’’ as Test Cricketer and Administrator par excellence.
The House unanimously resolved to complete the Project of New Cricket Stadium during this year and constituted a New Stadium Construction Committee under the Chairmanship of the President along with Office Bearers and R.S. Sachdeva as Convener-Member with all the Financial & Administrative Powers.
The House further unanimously approved to appoint Hon’ble Justice H.S. Bhalla as Ombudsman-cum-Ethics Officer of the PCA.
The House also approved that all District Cricket Associations are equal and the concept of Minor & Major Districts was abolished. The House applauded the Leadership of the President, PCA for this biggest reform.
The House also approved the revised TA & DA Rules for the Members, Selectors, Coaches, Officials and others.
