THE ACCUSED WERE DECLARED POs IN TWO FIRs LODGED AT SHAMBHU POLICE STATION
SO FAR A TOTAL OF Rs 3.35 CRORE VALUED IMMOVEABLE ASSETS HAVE BEEN ATTACHED OF FIVE POs
PATIALA, JANUARY 29-
Tightening the noose further against the accused wanted in various FIRs and have been declared Proclaimed Offenders by the concerned courts, Patiala Police have got attached immoveable assets of five accused, valued at Rs 3.35 Crore so far, said SSP Vikram Jeet Duggal, today here.
Divulging the details, Mr Duggal said that with the attachment of four acres and 110 square yards of two more POs , the police have succeeded to attach the immovable properties in four cases so far. He said that these attachments are being done as per the instructions of concerned area magistrates under section 82/83 of CrPC. The fourth accused whose property has been attached recently, belongs to village Gandolian of Fatehgarh sahib district. He was booked under sections 353,224,225,34 of IPC at Shambhu Police Station in 2017. Similarly, the fifth accused whose 110 square yard plot has been attached at Karnal, was declared PO in a case registered against him at Shambhu police station under NDPS act in 2013.
Earlier immovable assets worth Rs 1.20 crore of two accused who were wanted in an FIR lodged at Anaj Mandi Police Station and declared POs, were attached following the directions of the Court. Similarly, immovable assets worth Rs 25 Lakh of another accused declared PO by the court pertaining to an FIR lodged at Patran Police station were also attached a few days back.
