UT reported one more death and 78 fresh cases of coronavirus on Saturday. With this the death toll has increased to 315 while the caseload has risn to 19,423. There are 354 active cases of the infection.
According to a media bulletin issued by the Administration, a 66-year-old COVID positive female r/o Sector 18, a case of Acute Kidney Disease, Coronary Artery Disease and Hypertension expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
The new cases of the infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 68 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
