Chandigarh, January 21
UT reported one more death and 16 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday. With this, the death toll in the city now stands at 331 and the caseload at 20,639. There are as many as 146 active cases of the infection.
According to a media bulletin issued here, a 71-year-old COVID positive male R/o Sector 30, a case of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, has expired at Grecian Hospital, Mohali.
The new cases of the infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 40 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
