Chandigarh, November 25
UT reported one more death and as many as 87 new cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours on Wednesday. With this, the death toll has risen to 266 while the caseload has risen to 16,925. There are 1127 active cases of the infection.
According to a medical bulletin issued here, a 57-year-old male resident of Sector 19, a case of diabetes mellitus, hypertension and chronic kidney disease tested Covid positive and expired at PGIMER.
New cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
A total of 77 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
