Chandigarh, February 8
Coronavirus claimed one more life in Chandigarh on Monday while the city reported 26 fresh cases of the pandemic in 24 hours. There are at present 169 active cases of the infection.
With this, the death toll has risen to 341 while the caseload has climbed to 21,133.
According to a media bulletin issued here, a 55 year old COVID positive male r/o Sector-40, a case of Type-2 Respiratory Failure and Hypertension, has expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
The new cases of infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 25 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
