Chandigarh, December 19
Coronavirus claimed the life of another man in Chandigarh on Saturday while the city reported 65 fresh cases of the pandemic during the past 24 hours.
With this, the death toll has increased to 306 while the caseload has risen to 19,044. There are as many as 494 active cases of infection.
According to a medical bulletin issued here, a 57-year-old COVID positive male r/o Sector 44, a case of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection, has expired at GMCH 32.
Fresh cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 105 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
