Chandigarh, April 12
UT recorded one more death and as many as 424 new cases of coronavirus on Monday taking the death toll to 400-mark. The city now has as many as 3355 active cases of the infection.
The caseload in Chandigarh has now increased to 31167.
According to a media bulletin issued here by the administration, a 48-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 41, a case of Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, has expired at PGIMER, making him the 400th victim of the deadly infection.
The new cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 375 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
