Chandigarh, March 23
The coronavirus surged continued in Chandigarh on Tuesday with the city reporting one more death and 214 fresh cases of the infection during the past 24 hours. The death toll in UT has now risen to 364 while the caseload has increased to 24,881. There are as many as 2066 active cases of infection.
According to a media bulletin issued here on Tuesday, a 52-year-old COVID positive female R/o Dhanas, a case of Diabetes Mellitus, Chronic Kidney Disease and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome expired at PGIMER.
The new cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 126 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
