Mann government is committed to providing quality education to students in state-run schools

The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is prioritizing quality education for the state’s students, resulting in an increasing number of students leaving private schools to enroll in government schools of Punjab. These remarks were made by Barinder Kumar Goyal, Minister of Mining and Geology, during a parent-teacher meeting at the School of Eminence in Mullanpur Garibdas, located in the district SAS Nagar.
Cabinet Minister Mr. Barinder Kumar Goyal stated that with the aim of providing quality education to students and strengthening the relationship between parents and teachers, the state government has organized parent-teacher meetings in more than 20,000 government schools across the state today. In this program, teachers, students, parents, school management committees, and other eminent individuals are sitting together to discuss ways to improve school education arrangements. He mentioned that during the parent-teacher meetings, teachers and parents are receiving feedback about the students. Special ideas are also being discussed during these meetings for the betterment of the student’s future.
During this parent-teacher meeting organized by the state government, Cabinet Minister Mr. Goyal personally engaged with parents, teachers, and students to understand the issues related to their education. He encouraged the students to work harder in their studies, set high life goals, and bring pride to their parents and to Punjab.
Minister Mr. Goyal said that parent-teacher meeting is mandatory for the overall development of students. He said that meetings like this are very important to build a strong relationship between the school and the families. He also shared the outline of the improvement being brought in the education system by the state government. He said that the Punjab government has started many initiatives to improve the government schools of the state, which include campus managers, security guards, classrooms, labs, grounds, transport services, schools of eminence, students’ uniforms, etc.
Earlier, Mr. Goyal was warmly welcomed by Principal Mrs. Jyoti Soni, the school staff, and other dignitaries upon his arrival at the School of Eminence, Mullanpur Garibdas. Minister Goyal also viewed various exhibitions set up by the school children. He commended the entrepreneurial students.
