Chandigarh, October 19, 2020: Enigmatic and firebrand Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu finally made an appearance at the Punjab Vidhan Sabha at the specially-called two-day session to discuss the recently passed farm laws.
Sidhu had been missing vidhan sabha sessions ever since he was shunted out of the government and he has been on side-lines. However, he shot back into limelight with his fiery speech during the recently held Rahul Gandhi-led tractor rallies in Punjab.
He arrived to attend the session with Congress MLA from Jalandhar Pargat Singh.
The session ended without the issue of farm laws being taken up and it is expected that tomorrow the farm laws will be discussed.
Though Sidhu did not exchange greetings with the Chief Minister, he met a number of MLAs ahead of the session.
Last time Sidhu had attended the session was after the Pulwama attack in Kashmir. Since then, he has been keeping away from the Assembly.
