Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan delightedly informed that the ‘Mukhya Mantri Sehat Yojana’ has been launched today in Punjab, this step will prove to be a historical milestone in the health sector of the state.
He said the medical treatment of any poor or middle class family will not halt due to financial constraints. Every Punjabi will get free health insurance up to Rs 10 lakh annually as per this scheme. The patient will not need to deposit even a single rupee in the hospital. All their expenses will be paid directly by the Punjab government.
He highlighted that this facility is not limited to government hospitals only, but also in private (empanelled) hospitals. This scheme is for every resident of Punjab. There will be no caste, creed or political discrimination in this scheme.
Speaker urged the people of Punjab to do regular exercise and Yoga so that they can pass their life happily.
