Sh. Surendra Lamba, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa briefed the press that Mansa police has busted an interstate vehicle theft gang. This gang is active in stealing the bullet motorcycles from Chandigarh, Mohali area etc. Three members of the gang namely Amandeep Kumar @ Mangu S/o Tarsem Lal R/o Nangal Kalan Balkarn Singh @ Lakhi S/o Harbhajan Singh @ Biti and Satnam Singh @gaggi S/o Sukhwinder Singh R/o Khiala Kalan have been arrested. Market Value of recovered 6 Motorcycles is worth Rs. 8 lacs.
Senior Superintendent of Police Mansa further added that Police Party of CIA staff Mansa was present near Khiala Kalan in connection with checking of suspicious persons. Police Party got secret information that Amandeep Kumar @ Mangu S/o Tarsem Lal R/o Nangal Kalan, Balkarn Singh @ Lakhi S/o Harbhajan Singh @ biti, Satnam Singh @ gaggi S/o Sukhwinder Singh Rupinder Singh @ Bhutri S/o Gurcharan Singh @ Charna R/o Khiala Kalan and Labhi Singh S/o Amrik Singh @ Ginder Singh R/o Bhadurpur (Bareta) have formed a gang and habitual in stealing the bullet motorcycle from the area of Chandigarh and Mohali. Today they are coming to sale these. On this information FIR No. 34 dated 01-02-2021 u/S 379,411,473,120-B IPC PS Sadar Mansa have been registered.
Under the supervision of Sh. Digvijay Kapil, PPS SP(inv) Mansa and Sh. Tarsem Masih DSP (D), SI Angrej Singh incharge CIA staff Mansa placed a naka for checking at T.Point Khiala Kalan. During Nakabandi Police Party of CIA Staff Mansa nabbed Satnam Singh @ gaggi S/o Sukhwinder Singh, Balkarn Singh @ lakhi S/o Harbhajan Singh @ biti R/o Khiala Kalan and Amandeep Kumar @ mangu S/o Tarsem Lasl R/o Nangal Kalan with two bullet motorcycles. During the investigation, 3 more bullet motorcycle and one Hero Splender Plus motorcycle have been recovered.
Rest the remaining 2 members of the gang will be arrested soon in this connection to, raids are being conducted. Accused Amandeep Kumar @ Mangu s/o Tarsem Lal R/o Nangal Kalan has criminal background, he is already involved in 4 cases of Dacoity, NDPS etc. Criminal record of other accused is being inspected. police remand for 2 days have been obtained, further investigation is going on
