THE PUNJAB GOVERNMENT LED BY CHIEF MINISTER BHAGWANT MANN IS GIVING TOP PRIORITY TO PROVIDE BASIC FACILITIES, CLEAN AND POLLUTION FREE ENVIORNMENT TO THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE
Chandigarh, February 3:
Local Government Minister Dr.Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the Punjab government has decided to spend approximately Rs 7.77 crore on the supply of equipments to improve the sanitation system of Ludhiana City.
Minister said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is continuously making full out efforts to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the state. Due to which development works are being conducted in the state.
Disclosing this, the Local Government Minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the Local Government Department will be spent around Rs 4.26 crores on the manufacturing, supply and delivery alongwith comprehensive operation and Maintenance of jetting-cum-suction machines on 16 tonne GVW truck chassis. Similarly, it has been decided to spend about Rs.2.86 crores on manufacturing, supply and delivery of jetting-cum-suction machines on 9 tonne GVW truck chassis along with comprehensive operation and maintenance.
He said that the capacity of these jetting and suction machines will be 8000 and 4000 liters. Rs 65 lakhs will be spent for the supply and delivery of Excavator machine, he also added.
Minister further said that the Punjab government is constantly striving to provide a clean environment to the people of the state so that the people of the state can be protected from serious diseases spread by dirt and pollution.
He has directed the Officers of the department to ensure transparency and quality in the government works and strictly follow the financial guidlines.
