Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on Thursday, held a mega road show in Phagwara to campaign for the AAP candidate from Hoshiarpur Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal. Mann appealed to the people to elect Dr Chabbewal as their representative in the parliament because he comes from a common background, he is a grounded leader who will raise issues of the common people in the parliament.
During the road show, Mann addressed the gathered crowd and thanked them for their love, trust and support. He said that he can never repay the debt of this love, but he is grateful that people elected him for such a big responsibility. He said that he often prays to God to bless him with intelligence and strength to work for the people. He said that do your responsibility by pressing the ‘jharoo’ button on June 1st, after June 4th every responsibility will be mine. He said that he will make Punjab ‘Sone di Chiri’ once again. He said that the traditional and dynast politicians are miserable because the sons and daughters of common families have reached the assembly, became CM, ministers and MLAs. They thought power and politics was their birthright.
Mann said that his earnings are love and regard that he receives from the people of all ages. He said that mothers bless him and the young generation is supporting him on every step. He said that as far as other parties and opponents are concerned people even count the fingers of their hand after shaking it with them. He said that he is here among the people after giving 43,000 government jobs, his only wish is that a hard working labourer gets his wages immediately after work and the farmer gets the right price for their crops on the spot too. Mann said that the entire Punjab is his family, when a businessman comes to me with any proposal I help him in every way and only ask one thing in return, give jobs to our youth.
Mann said that governments are not formed to ruin the lives of the poor, to shut down the businesses or loot the state, but the governments are formed to guard the rights of the people, to ensure fire and food in the kitchens of the people and to do development of the state.
He said that a journalist asked me that such power and fame can get to anyone’s brain, how I stay grounded, I told him I was famous before coming to politics, I’m immune to fame, but I’m aware of my responsibility. God gives us responsibility and then gives us strength to fulfill the responsibility. He said that his dream is that he wants to see a happy and prosperous Punjab again. He asked for 13 more arms and voices, said it will be the validation of his works of two years. Mann said that him and his government will work with even more enthusiasm and passion.
CM Mann said that Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal is a grounded leader, he came from a common background, he reached heights with his hard work and by serving the people of Hoshiarpur. Mann said that it is the love and support of the people that he is able to work so tirelessly. He said that the people who stay true to their roots survive longer. At the end, Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal thanked CM Mann and the people of Phagwara for their support. He said that the people of Hoshiarpur particularly appreciate the Mann government for 43,000 government jobs and zero electricity bills.
