Ludhiana:171 tested positive for Covid 19

In a little relief from Covid19, 171 persons were tested positive on Sunday and nine patients have succumbed to infection. The figures of positive patients were less as compared to previous days. In last two days, around 800 persons were tested positive.
Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Bagga informed that  there are 2072 active patients in the district at present. He said that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid 19. He said that 171 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours time.He further said that till date, a total of 104297 samples have been taken, out of which report of 99125 samples has been received, of 89629 samples is negative and report of 5112 samples is pending. He said that 8679 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 6297 were recovered.
He said that unfortunately 9 people have died due to infections and till now 312 have lost their life.  He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
