In last 24 hours, 347 more persons were tested positive for Corona virus and 12 succumbed to infection in Ludhiana district. The active cases in the district have reached 1832. Today, the health department has collected the samples of 5086 suspected persons.
Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga informed that a total of 223300 samples have been taken till date, out of which report of 221696 samples has been received and report of 1604 samples is pending. He said that 16051 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 13558 were recovered.
He said that unfortunately 12 people have died due to infection and till now 658 have lost their life. He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing.
Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
